The scope of the responsibilities of Physician Extenders has grown to include the care provided to hospitalized patients. Employed Extenders at FMH, both in the physician practice setting, as well as in the acute care facility, have a meaningful role in the care they provide to our patients. We require that our Extenders complete a detailed credentialing process to include a delineation of privileges and adherence to written protocols.
