Here are some answers to the most common questions that job candidates ask. How do I apply?
Frederick Regional Health System is currently accepting online applications. Take a look at our online application instructions. Interested in a position? Please submit an online application.

What positions are currently available?
All currently available positions are posted on our website. Take a look!

How can I find out the status of my application?
You may check the status of your application online. Go to our website and click on “Jobs" and then “Apply for a Position with FMH.” Find and click on the feature “Log In Now” at the bottom of the page. Enter your user name and password, which will direct you to your Applicant Profile. Select “Application History” to Review Status. The application process typically takes two to four weeks to complete. You will receive an email indicating that your application has been received. If the department is interested in conducting an interview, you will be contacted directly.

I’m not familiar with Frederick, MD and I would like to come to the hospital. How can I get driving directions?
You can use the following websites to get directions to FMH. Our Human Resources address is: Fairview Center - 1003 West Seventh Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The hospital’s main address is: 400 West Seventh Street, Frederick, MD 21701.

Where is the Human Resources department located?
The Human Resources department is located down the street from the main hospital in the Fairview Center. Our address is 1003 West Seventh Street, Frederick, MD 21701-4106. Human Resources can be reached at 240-566-3550.

I've completed the application online and I receive an error message when I try to submit it. Now what?
Be sure each field of the application has been completed. In order for the application to be accepted, each field must be filled in. If you do not have information for a particular field, enter "N/A" in order to submit the application. If you are still having application problems, please call: 1-800-864-5200 and select option 1.

I have applied to a position. When should I expect a response?
The standard recruitment process is as follows: Once an application is received, it is reviewed by the recruiters and the hiring managers. If there is a match between your experience/skills and an open position, you may be contacted for an interview.

Can I apply to your website if I don't have an email address?
An email address is required when you apply for a job on our website. Our recruiters will also correspond with job applicants online. If you don't have an email address, please visit Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo to set one up.

How do I know if you received my application?
When you apply through our website, you will receive an automatic email response that your application has been received.

I saw a job posted on the website last week and now that job is no longer posted. Is it still available?
If a position is no longer on our website, it means the position has either been filled or we are no longer accepting applications for that opening. You can check our website on a weekly basis, as we update our new and filled positions every week.

The position that I am interested in is not currently posted. May I complete a general online application?
Unfortunately, the answer is "No." We can only accept applications for current open positions. If the type of job or position you are looking for is not available at this time, don’t worry. New openings are posted all of the time, so be sure to visit our website again.

If I am interested in more than one position, do I have to apply to each one?
Yes, you will need to apply to each position of interest. However, at the bottom of the online application, it will prompt you to create a username and password. If you would like to apply for another position, you can input the username and password that you created, and view your past application. Then you can submit this same application for another position.

Do you accept applications from new graduates?
Yes, we do. We would love to receive your application as a new grad. Please note, however, that we hire new graduates depending on the individual department's needs. Some departments are not able to train new graduates at this time, while others have preceptors ready to embrace new graduates. The job requirements for all positions are listed on the website.
