How it all Started
In the late 1890’s as Emma Smith began her personal campaign to build a hospital in her hometown, she solicited funds with this simple statement of her dream: to provide “... a place that would care for the sick, comfort the injured, and provide peace of mind for the citizens we serve.” Upon these principled words, Frederick City Hospital opened its doors in 1902.
