Behavioral Health Services

FMH Behavioral Health Services provides integrated care, combining medical, psychotherapeutic, behavioral and educational services to people who are challenged by a combination of complex medical, psychiatric and substance abuse issues. By identifying and building on each patient's strengths and abilities, we have successfully helped many people reach their optimum level of health and independence. We work as a team to develop goals and plans for treatment in partnership with our patients, families, caregivers, and health professionals.

A spectrum of services and treatment options are provided in a variety of settings. Our highly specialized team consists of Board Certified Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Clinical Nurses, Psychiatric Certified Nursing Assistants, Clinical Psychiatric Nurse Specialists, Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors.

We offer a 20-bed adult, inpatient Psychiatric Unit which accepts both voluntary and involuntary admissions of individuals 18 years and older. The Psychiatric Unit at FMH is a short-term therapeutic community psychiatric setting, where the treatment team provides assessment, medical stabilization and individualized treatment planning.

We also offer patients a Psychiatric Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Program which provides structured treatment for patients with a variety of psychiatric or substance abuse symptoms.

Crisis Services provides emergent psychiatric assessments in the Emergency Department and is staffed by Master's-prepared Psychiatric Clinicians.
